Fingerprinting Programs

The Claremore Police Department conducts annual visits to the Claremore Elementary Schools and offers fingerprinting and photographs of each 4th grade student to be placed in a booklet for the parents to keep updated and in a safe place. We encourage all parents to allow their children to be included in this program. It is our hope that these booklets will not be needed, but if they are they will provide all the needed information for law enforcement to quickly attempt to locate your child. This is a voluntary program and is done only with parent or guardian approval.

Note: No information is kept from these booklets by the police department, they are sent home with the children.

The Claremore Police Department has four self defense instructors:

Officer Robin Blair, Cpt. Danny Dobbins and Officer Michael Shaver.

They are trained to instruct

Rape Aggression Defense Systems

This training is a comprehensive program taught in a relaxed environment and teaches proven techniques, tactics, awareness, risk reduction, avoidance and unique insights about the problem of violence against women. This training is open to women only. Training includes hands-on and simulated scenarios that will teach each participant using simple and effective tactics, the necessary skills to defend themselves, and techniques on how to escape from an attacker. If you are interested in attending or sponsoring a class please contact Officer Robin Blair.  Email at rblair@claremorecity.com

The Crime Prevention programs are geared towards educating people on safety and security issues. Officers are available by appointment to meet with you and address safety or quality of life issues. Currently, the following programs are offered by our department.

House Watch - The Police Department will make periodic checks of your residence if it is vacant due to vacation or extenuating circumstances that require you to be away for an extended period of time. If you would like us to put you on the list for the house watch program please call the Communications Division or click here for form.

Neighborhood Watch Program -  - The purpose of this program is to organize neighbors and bring them together in order to make them more vigilant about what transpires in their neighborhood.  Neighborhood watches help reduce the fear and incidence of crime, thus making Claremore a safer place to live, work and play.  It requires the assistance of citizens as additional "eyes and ears" in participating neighborhoods to watch for any suspicious activity and immediately report all crime and/or suspicious activity to police.  If you would like to organize a neighborhood watch program in your area please call or email Patrol Officer Brian Burnett at (918) 341-1212.  Email at bburnett@claremorecity.com

Senior Citizen Services

The Claremore Police Department understands senior citizens are frequently targeted by criminals and often unknowingly become victims of crime.  Our department makes every effort to educate and arm this sector of our population with crime information regarding fraud, scams, and other types of crimes that target seniors.  The information seniors receive through these programs arm them with the knowledge they need to stay safe.  If you would like more information regarding this service contact Patrol Officer Brian Burnett at 341-1212 or send an email to bburnett@claremorecity.com

Tours - Officers are available to conduct tours of the police department headquarters and make presentations to groups or organizations. If you are interested in a tour or presentation please call or email Captain Danny Dobbins.
